I thought it was strong. Very short handle.

The shovel is advertised as forged, which is fine, but if you press it deeply and bend it, it bends at the base of the handle. This has happened to me three times already, and I only wanted to transplant currant bushes. I have a steel sheet shovel that I've been using for 20 years, but I've never experienced anything like this with it (although it's from the U.S.S.R.!).

It was the cheapest option.
So-so. It's long enough, but the material could be a bit thicker. I'm afraid to use it on drier, more compact soil because I'm worried it will bend.

It survived the first test.
It has only been tested. It survived the first test, but visually it could be a bit more robust.

Works perfectly.
I love it. Very special.

Serves its purpose
Practical for digging narrow but not too deep trenches, it does its job well. (I used it to dig a trench for electrical wiring.) The material could perhaps be a little harder; if it's stuck to the hilt in compacted dry soil, you can only carefully move it to remove the soil, because it wouldn't be able to handle the load. But even so, it's very usable and greatly facilitates the work, since you only have to move half as much soil compared to a traditional shovel and spade.

Could be made of a slightly stronger material, but it's not bad as it is!
