Geo-textiles
Geo-textile is a mulch used in landscaping to control weeds, prevent natural soil and grain movement, and stabilize soil. It can also be used under stone beds, mulch, under pond liners for pond construction, under parking lots and sidewalks. The mulch not only prevents weed infestation, but is also useful as a soil layer separator and stabilizer. The mulch is non-woven, but it allows water to pass through (via micro-poles), but prevents weeds and other roots from coming to the surface. Before installing the geotextile, it is advisable to prepare the soil surface and then secure the edges of the blanket so that it is fully taut. When installing the geo-foil, make sure that there is an overlap of about 10 cm. You can use ground anchoring pins to secure the weed membrane. Soil fabric can be cut to size and is a great permeable gardening accessory. Once installed, the soil blanket fabric provides a weed-free environment.
