Most of the luminaires suspended from the ceiling are supplied with a 110cm cable length and a covering element (so-called "ceiling rose") to cover the mains connection and fixing. The length of the suspension can be shortened by means of a screw on the ceiling cover element, if the user wishes to suspend the lamp in the room for less than 110 cm. The redundant part of the wiring can be hidden under the ceiling cover element (without dismantling) or, if space is limited, it can be cut off and reattached to the ceiling clamp for aesthetic effect, which should be done with the power off or with the help of a professional electrician.
