How does it work?
- Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap.
- Press the tester button.
- Immerse the meter in the brake fluid.
- The LEDs will indicate the water content.
LED Indicators:
| LED Color | Water Content (%) | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Green | < 1% | Okay, low water content |
| Yellow | 1-2% | Low water content, check again |
| 2 Yellow | 2-3% | Moderate water content, replace soon |
| Red | ~3% | High water content, replace the fluid |

Important Notes:
- Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs water. Regular checks are essential for safe driving.
- Approximately 3.5% water content reduces the boiling point by about 100°C.
- Less than 1.5% water content is ideal.
- If the water content is above 3%, you absolutely must replace the brake fluid!
